Full set of all 20 readers and 2 Teacher Guides in History of the First Australians Set 4.
Welcome to the much-anticipated History of the First Australians Set 4, More Stories – a stunning, visually engaging and authentic collection of stories from right across the country which celebrate the history, culture, heritage, and diversity of Australia’s First Nations people. We have built upon our successful, shortlisted History of the First Australians Set 3 series by expanding story content across all states and territories and introducing QR Code technology to cater for tech-savvy, visually stimulated and multi-modal learners. The result is a suite of 20 culturally authentic stories which can be used to seamlessly embed the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures Cross Curriculum Priority into the classroom literacy block.
This latest suite of stories also addresses the increasingly important elements of cultural diversity, identity and inclusivity, ensuring the opportunity to extend both Indigenous and non-Indigenous children’s knowledge and understandings of themselves, and others who may be different from them. This further assists the development of children’s wellbeing and sense of identity… again, all within the context of the classroom literacy block, which in turn, reduces the impact of the “crowded curriculum”.
Whilst other Learning Areas such as HaSS, Science and The Arts are also addressed, along with the Sustainability Cross Curriculum Priority, the primary focus for “More Stories” relies on its ability to allow both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students across a wide range of learning levels, the opportunity to celebrate their history, heritage, cultures, and values through literacy.
